Whose guide it is
GeePeeVee Pty Ltd trades as Barber Shop Insurance, under the brand Barbershop Insurance. GeePeeVee Pty Ltd is a Corporate Authorised Representative (CAR 1008568) of Community Broker Network Pty Ltd, which holds Australian Financial Services Licence 233750.
A Corporate Authorised Representative is a business allowed to give advice and arrange insurance under another company's licence. Community Broker Network Pty Ltd holds the licence and we work under it, so the FSG is its document and carries its name.
An Australian Financial Services Licence, or AFSL, is the licence that lets a business give advice about insurance and arrange it.

What an FSG has to tell you
By law, a Financial Services Guide sets out:
- who is giving you the service, and whose licence they work under
- the kinds of advice and services you can get
- how the people involved are paid, for example commission from an insurer or a fee
- any links to insurers or other businesses that could affect the advice
- how to make a complaint, and the outside body you can take it to
- how the licensee would pay you compensation if you lost money through its mistake
